We Are Open Again!

  • We are prioritising patients suffering pain, and have a large backlog of patients requiring treatment. However, we expect to be able to see patients soon for their regular check-ups.
  • You can speak to a receptionist on 01 730 812 022 between the hours of 9:00am and 5pm Monday to Friday.
  • Please do not arrive at the surgery without an appointment.
  • If you have a dental emergency outside of working hours please call 01 730 812 022 and our answerphone will give further information.
  • If you are suffering from severe uncontrollable pain, bleeding or swelling which is resulting in difficulty breathing, please go directly to your nearest accident and emergency hospital.
  • We have introduced strict procedures and enhanced PPE for the protection of our patients and staff. This will greatly lengthen appointment times so we ask you to be understanding. Please do not expect your treatment to necessarily be on the same day as your assessment.

    New Patients

When selecting professionals to take care of our health, our choice of a dentist is important. For many of us, our dentist is held in a particular position of trust. Patients often continue seeing the same dentist long after they have moved to a different part of the country.

One of our experienced and fully trained dental receptionists would be glad to tell you about the practice and help you decide which of our four dentists would best suit you. You can speak with them in person at the surgery or telephone the practice on 01730 812022. If you would like us to call you please click the ‘REQUEST A CALL BACK’ button at the top left of this screen.

When the time comes that you wish to make your first appointment, we will give extra time to allow your dentist to become more fully acquainted with you and your particular requirements.

Your dentist will greet you personally and guide you to the surgery where you will be introduced to your nurse. You will then be asked ‘what can we do for you?’ New patients’ needs range from a simple check-up to a complete aesthetic makeover.

This conversation will lead to an extensive examination of your teeth, gums and soft tissues, and an oral cancer check. Extra diagnostic aids like x-rays may be required. At the end of this process, your dentist will sit with you and talk over your case. Hopefully, you will get an oral thumbs up but if there are treatment options they will be explained and discussed. Naturally, any questions or concerns will be addressed. Your dentist will give you an indication of any anticipated costs and a written estimate can be provided if required.

This initial consultation is for a fixed fee of £49 and may include simple treatments like teeth cleaning, (if time allows). We try to make this even more affordable for younger adults, (aged 18-25) by only charging £35. Children are seen free of charge on the NHS.

When you visit the practice for the first time and at the start of every new course of treatment, you will be asked to provide medical information. At the lower right of this screen, you can download a Medical History form. If you wish you can complete this prior to your appointment. Please bring details of any prescription medication that you are taking.
